To understand better cristobal balenciaga's way, I wanted take an inspiration that will connect me to his ability to create his garments.

And for that, I chose for my inspiration starting point the artwork "cloud gate" by Anish Kapoor who you can find in Chicago, IL.

THE MAGIC OF THE BEEN

I was wondering how can I take the idea of creating this sculpture into a garment.

Also in the fabrics, I made a scale of grey's and black, that reminded me of the material of the sculpture.

Eventually in the fabric manipulation I tried to create this different form pieces in the fabric/ and the thing that was unusual is the affect the fabric got from joining this pieces together, to this quilt feel fabric.

For the bottom garment I wanted to convey the illusion the sculpture create. In addition to this unique silhouette, the illusion comes in a way that in the front you can see a skirt, and from the back it is trousers.

My turning point in my design was the sketch plan of the sculpture, when you can see the way it was formed into one piece out of many.

So first I took this sketch and I started to make collages on a body figure sketch.
